Having a job where you help people everyday is something that would make me very happy. In psychology, that is exactly your goal. Being a psychologist you must have the need to help people, or you won't have the motivation to help more difficult patients. The human mind is a complex thing. Trying to understand it can be very stressful. Psychologists do lots of research to help understand, and diagnose what is going on with a patient.

When going into psychology it is always good to have an understanding of yourself and your own emotions. This can help you understand and empathize with your patients. A good way you can get a better understanding of yourself is being going to see a therapist. Many psychologists see other psychologists. The most important thing is the end is that you helped a person get better.
